The landscape at Dean Close Preparatory School has navigated the balance between the sensitive historic setting of listed buildings and conservation area with the needs of a modern preparatory school. We have used a traditional palette of hard materials and plants to complement the existing school landscape and buildings and integrate the new building seamlessly. Particular issues included works around protected trees, new security and the creation of new social spaces throughout the landscape.
