St Helen’s School
The complete refurbishment of the sixth form common room and adjacent areas was undertaken to form a new common room, study room and seminar space for the pupils.
The early inclusion of the students at workshops and forums gave the pupils a real sense of ownership as the myriad of ideas were developed into a final theme for the spaces. The formation of a more open feel to the previously cramped areas allows better use of space as well as providing easy observation throughout all areas.
A new ceiling in the science library, redecoration of the Gwyer House hallway and some external works were also included in the contract, which was undertaken during the summer of 2012 and completed in readiness for the new academic year in September 2012.
