The building is part of an overall restructuring of the sports facilities within the school. The main swimming pool hall provides a 25 metre 6 lane swimming pool to cater for inter-school swimming competitions. The building is enclosed with a composite steel and glue laminated ribbed roof structure. The external walls of the building are mainly natural stone with reconstructed stone copings
